Oregon Day Trips…. the OFFF and Lincoln City

Now based in Salem, and after some self-pampering involving a visit to the local Aveda Salon, M and I drove towards Canby for the OFFF.. no, not the opposite of a very decided “ONNN”, but the Oregon Flock and Fibre Festival. As we drove into the town, the thought came to mind that we should – maybe – have found out the exact location or looked at the directions online before setting off North from Salem… Luckily a great collection of cars congregating at the fairgrounds in the centre of town gave a SMALL hint…

And here is what we found on this beautiful sunny day:

Some fibre to make us drule in retrospect…

And of course lots of yarn. We went “Socks that Rock” shopping…. Not feeling guilty in the least: Christmas is not that far away… and they were just so beautiful… and yarn shopping on holiday doesn’t really count, does it?! We also met with fellow Raveler BlueDragon2 and her husband, who had told us about the OFFF in the first place and asked us along… Thank you so much!

To complete a lovely day, we jumped back into our little car and drove towards the Oregon Coast and Lincoln City. I am a sea fanatic, so this was pure bliss to me – but I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
