Paris in May

Beautiful day in Paris! After the obligatory 3 hours of sleep, the alarm went off at 4.05am. 10 minutes to fall into our day clothes and grab our bags, and off with the pre-ordered cab to the Eurostar train station… 1 cup of coffee, more sleep and a few hours train ride later, we arrived at the Gare du Nord in Paris,  ready for the day ahead.

The programme for the day:
Croissants from Kayser
Le Jardin des Plantes (pictures of the rose gardens to follow shortly!!)

For Dad

Tea from Mariage Frères
Linen napkins & napkin rings from Genivieve Lethu

Lunch @ L’As du Falafel
BHV
Dreyfus at Le Marche St Pierre

A bench in the sunshine below Monmartre
A tea at the foot of the upside-down pyramid below the Louvre (Mariage Frères)

3 very happy people collapsed into their Eurostar trains after 12 hours of sun-shiny Paris, dozing towards London…
